Company History

ESD Australia was formed in 2005 to provide government level TSCM (Technical Surveillance Counter-Measures) services to corporate and government customers that did not have the resources to have a full in-house TSCM team. In July 2005 ESD Australia was approached by GSMK Cryptophone of Germany as a suitable distributor of their products in the Asia-Pacific region. ESD Australia accepted the offer and expanded it's business to the overall security of customer communications with the GSMK product line.

ESD Australia was then split into two areas. One for Cryptophone sales and the other for continued supply of our TSCM services.

During the operation of these businesses, ESD Australia became more heavily involved in selective sourcing arrangements of restricted export items relevant to customer security, such as Jammers, Interception equipment and tactical defence equipment for defence and law enforcement agencies throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

After more than 3 successful years of providing TSCM services and GSMK Cryptophones in the Asia-Pacific, ESD Australia was renamed the ESD Group to reflect the international nature of the company, and a continuing focus on selective sourcing of difficult to obtain defence and law enforcement equipment within our areas of expertise.

The ESD GROUP now has partners and offices throughout the world providing military grade technologies for law enforcement and national security use. These technologies range from the continually expanding range of GSMK Cryptophone secure telephones, specialist Mobile Jamming and Interception equipment through to tactical equipment such as police dogs and ballistic vests, even to locally sourced Light Observation Aircraft!
